Herrnbrunnen, Rothenburg What? According to an inscription, this fountain in Herrngasse dates back to 1595, so stylistically it belongs to the late Renaissance. The figure on the column represents a mermaid with two fish tails: with a golden crown on her head and a golden scepter in her hand. Quick fact: The cattle market used to take place around the Herrnbrunnen. Be sure to do it: On the Imperial City Festival Days around Rothenburg's old town, the baker's baptism is reenacted here - a punishment that publicly exposed fraudulent bakers.
