The neo-Romanesque crypt chapel of St. Mary of the Counts of Ingelheim dates from 1874/75 and was built under the Imperial Count Friedrich von Ingelheim. In 2006, Count Albrecht, whose birthplace is Mespelbrunn Castle not far from the chapel, was buried in the two-towered basilica.

Feeling good is the order of the day here. Beautiful location with a lot of love for details. Hikers are always greeted warmly here. The cakes here are a must. Here you can always have a nice break in summer and winter.

Great excursion destination and DAV hut in a fantastic setting... the service runs like clockwork... friendly and quick... the typical crowds of drivers are not to be found at the excursion destination... here you have to do something yourself to be here... Value for money...👍

High above the Elsava Valley, the crypt chapel of St. Maria is visible from far away. It was built in 1895 by Imperial Count Friedrich von Ingelheim. The chapel, 15 m long and 9 m wide, is a scaled-down replica of a Romanesque, two-towered basilica. The church was last used in 1972, when Count Albrecht's father was buried in the crypt. The coat of arms of those in Ingelheim and Echter von Mespelbrunn can be found above the portal of St. Maria.

Water wheel to commemorate the Kullmannmühle, which stood at the current parking lot for flour extraction. The upper stream was used to run a water bath and splits at the water treading facility at AdvengerGolf. I don't know whether it is still the mill wheel.

The Hohe-Wart-Haus is located in the middle of the Spessart between Mespelbrunn and Aschaffenburg. The large beer garden invites you to take a short stop.

The Hohe Warte is a rustic forest house near Hessenthal and is the starting point and/or destination for many hiking tours. The food is very good - the game dishes would be recommended as a tip - and especially the home-brewed "Hohe-Wart beer".
