In fact: the architectural and historical landmark of the well-known wine-growing community on the eastern Mainviereck is one of the most famous monuments among the palaces and castles in Franconia. Homburg Castle has been municipally owned since 1869. The Triefenstein market as the current owner had to make a lot of efforts to save the half-timbered building from decay.

At the top of the castle is the Homburg Wine Festival every year, on two weekends. If you plan well, you can take a little detour and "freshen up". Since Homburg also has vineyards, the wine list is well stocked with local wines :-)

This cycle path leads through a beautiful landscape and is fairly flat. Well suited for children. However, depending on the season and the weather, it is "overcrowded".
