The 34.8-kilometer circular route around both lakes near Markkleeberg is a great experience. Although the path was well frequented, you can still find a place to rest and enjoy nature.

It doesn't matter whether you just watch or bravely join one of the rafting adventures on offer: the Markkleeberg whitewater park is awesome! The facility was planned for Leipzig's bid for the 2012 Olympic Games. It is one of the most modern whitewater facilities with competition and training courses. Rafting trips, whitewater and surfing courses are offered. If you are experienced, you can also train on your own in the facility.
