Tranquil, romantic and beautiful wine-growing town on the Main just outside Würzburg. Gates, towers, walls, half-timbered houses... excellent wines, good cuisine. Definitely worth a detour!

Würzburg is an extremely historic city. In particular, the cathedral, the old town, the Old Main Bridge and the Marienberg Fortress as well as the Residenz and the Hofgarten are highly recommended. Also along the banks of the Main - just great.
