You have a magnificent view from the Blauen, perhaps because this peak seems to extend far into the Upper Rhine plain and thus offers a particularly outstanding view into the depths. But you can also see the Vosges and the Alps very well! Simply a must for every visitor to the border triangle!

The walk around the pond is really worth it. Almost half of it is designated as a bathing lake. We had nice weather at the end of October, but it was too cold for swimming.

With a length of around 325 meters and a width of 200 meters, the Nonnenmattweiher is not particularly large, but it is really beautiful to look at. Here you can swim in peace and at the same time enjoy the Black Forest in all its glory, unfortunately it is quite crowded on the weekends, but during the week it is a little paradise.

Unfortunately, parking is only allowed there if you are a guest there. But a little down the street is a parking lot for hikers! :)

Great to visit even in winter! There is a parking lot in the immediate vicinity, but the way there is not cleared. So you should drive a suitable vehicle (all-wheel drive, for example). And always park respectfully. Better to avoid weekends if possible.

The hut and the space in front of it are very suitable for a rest with a snack and a "summit drink", both in the hut and in front of it there is a table and seating (so far in good condition). The hut is in a beautiful location on a hiking and forest path junction. Top👍👍👍.
