From here you have a beautiful view and can rest on the bench by the cross. Nicely done.

As desolate as the landscape still seems at the moment... This is what really makes the Devil's Steps/summit cross stand out. Looking at the pictures, you get the feeling that you are much higher than you actually are. Apparently a "little explored" highlight. But really worth seeing, not least because of the location. 🤩

Eibertshain summit cross. Two benches and summit book available. Here, slate peaks protrude from the ground known as "the devil's stairs". I agree with Silke - it used to be a nice narrow green path. Today you have a great view of the Westerwald and Ewersbach.
