The magnificent Kamp Monastery in Kamp-Lintfort was founded in 1123 as the first Cistercian monastery in German-speaking countries. Stroll through the beautiful and well-kept terraced gardens and treat yourself to a piece of cake in the lovely donation-based café. The herb garden at the monastery is also definitely worth a visit.

Riding on this cycle path is a real experience. Very nice route.

Unfortunately not continuously, the section through the Hochwald at Villa Hochwald is missing (highly recommended rest area, restaurant). Accessible via a bypass of the same quality. Only then do we continue towards Xanten.

The Bislicher Insel is always a highlight, thousands of birds of all kinds, information from NABU. Always fantastic to drive here.
