This chapel is located on a narrow 'peninsula' and shines in rich white. Surrounded by a low wall, it might be a bit intimidating for a German at about 40 cm tall, but the view of the sea and the cliffs is worth it. Definitely a must-see for excursions and explorers 👍

The fishing village of Benagil, whose small beach is almost completely hidden under the boats, is located on one of the most beautiful stretches of the Algarve coast, where caves and grottos have formed in the bizarrely shaped rocky coast. The calm sea offers ideal conditions for a boat trip, where you can discover secluded beaches that are inaccessible from land and where an indescribable peace reigns.

Praia da Marinha is a beach in the Algarve, the southernmost Portuguese province. It belongs to the administrative area of Lagoa and is located in the so-called "Rock Algarve". Many holidaymakers from the nearby resort of Carvoeiro, about 5 km away, use the beach for swimming, diving and snorkeling. There is a free car park here (but you should get there early!). It is the starting point for the coastal hike to Benagil.

The Capela de Nossa Senhora da Rocha is a pretty pilgrimage chapel on a rocky outcrop on the south coast of the Algarve. It is located south of Porches and west of Armação de Pêra. The chapel was built by fishermen in the 16th century in honor of the Holy Mary. The Holy Mary with the Child can also be seen through a glass front.

Beautiful bay with bathing beach accessible via stairs or the neighboring bay through a tunnel.
