Rietberg ['riːtbɛʁk] is a town on the upper Ems in the north-east of North Rhine-Westphalia and belongs to the East Westphalian district of Gütersloh in the administrative district of Detmold. The city, which has more than 29,000 inhabitants, is located about 25 kilometers south-west of Bielefeld.

I had never heard of this little gem before and was pleasantly surprised. I happened upon it on my journey through Germany on the R1. It's definitely worth stopping here for a rest. It's beautiful.
