The Wendebach reservoir is a natural lake that was created in 1973 by artificial damming for flood protection. The area is used as a recreation area. The bathing area has a bathing jetty and a non-swimmer area, which is looked after by the DLRG.

The path around the Kiessee is beautiful and easy to walk on. There were a lot of people out and about on Sunday afternoon.

A great swimming lake including a small restaurant. Great place for a break or as a destination for a tour to have a cool drink at the end. The “Taverne am See” restaurant is only open in summer.
