You reach the summit of the 2,097 meter high Karlspitze via a ridge. From above you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Sölktal and the surrounding mountains.

In my case, the path was covered in snow in winter, but it was clear at the top. The path was well-marked, but due to the many tracks and hikers it was a bit icy in places - crampons are recommended here. The wooden ladder was free of snow at the time.

During the hike to the Gindlhorn you can always enjoy the view of the Grimming, but it is even more beautiful from up here. There is a summit book and 2 wooden benches on the small "plateau". The summit cross stands on its own small rock, which requires minimal climbing (optional) ;)

Great view at the guardian of the Salzkammergut!! Very exposed path, absolute surefootedness and a head for heights are a prerequisite.
