The name Kelchalm comes from the fact that goblets, among other things, were made from copper in the past. The entrance to a former copper mine is located above the stable belonging to the hut. Shower tokens for 5 min warm showers are available for €5. Charging options for cell phones in the dining room. The hut landlady Ilona cooks well and enjoys cooking. On the snack platter, the sausage is partly made from animals raised on the Alpine pasture. The eggs in Kaiserschmarrn come from our own chickens. The insider tip is the cheese dumpling duo with one dumpling in the soup and a second fried dumpling on salad.

The Hacklberg Trail in Saalbach Hinterglemm can be easily reached via the SchattbergXpress and a short ascent to the west summit.
