Beautiful mountain hut on the shore of the Giglachsee. Especially the location makes this mountain hut a real recommendation! The food at the hut itself as well as the sleeping places leave something to be desired.

Very friendly run alpine club hut with excellent food and enough sleeping places. The location is fantastic and for overnight stays on the Schladminger Tauern Höhenweg is ideal. I was already on the road here on the Höhenweg in 2021.

Good cuisine and fresh fish from the lake

A very beautiful mountain lake with the opportunity to stop at the Forellenhof. Absolutely to recommend.

The lake is 1648 m above sea level. A. in the Duisitzkar on the west side above the Obertal. It rests embedded in a montane mixed larch forest between Ferchtlhöhe (1913 m) in the north, Murspitzen (2333 m) in the west and Duisitzer Hahnkamp (2296 m) in the south. The approximately 5.4 ha large water surface[1] is fed by the tributary of the same name from the Humpback Cirque Lakes (2073 m) to the south-west, which flows into a small delta. A conspicuous paragneiss spur towers around 60 meters above the lake at the cirque. The Fahrlechhütte and the Duisitzkarseehütte are located on the north-eastern shore, in the immediate vicinity of the lake.
