One of the most beautiful viewpoints in the Vienna Woods. If the weather is good, the view is incredible! Located on the Laurenzi MTB route.

The Troppberg is a 542 m high mountain in the northern Vienna Woods. It is located in the Lower Austrian market towns of Gablitz and Tullnerbach. Monastery ruins on the Way of St. James with a dark past.

One of the most beautiful views over the Vienna Woods, the Way of St. James, the Vienna Woods long-distance hiking trail 404, the Great Tullnerfeld circular hiking trail 475 and the Voralpenweg 04 pass here.

If you are nearby, you should definitely climb up to the lookout to enjoy the fantastic panoramic view. The lookout is not only a viewing point, but also an important radio facility used by various organizations. Very high observation tower with a beautiful view that you should definitely visit. There is also a lower control room from the 19th century, where you can shelter in a small room at the top when it rains. The control room on the other side, from the 1960s, has already been demolished. All that remains here is the base as a witness that it once existed.

Beautiful view and the hut is also recommended.

Wienerwaldsee dam, in Lower Austria, 289 m (dam), 1.4 km long and 0.8 km wide; Vienna reservoir on the Westautobahn, between Pressbaum and Untertullnerbach; Another tributary is the Wolfsgrabenbach. To the northeast of the lake is the Wientalwasserwerk, which feeds the Wientalwasserleitung. The Wienerwaldsee dam is an interesting structure that creates an artificial lake in the Vienna Woods. The lake serves as flood protection for the Vienna River, which flows into the Mulde here. The lake is also a water conservation area that provides a habitat for many rare animals. It's good that swimming and ice skating are prohibited in the lake, but that's logical in a water protection area. But you can go around it by bike or on foot and enjoy the beautiful landscape (sunset!). On the northern bank there is a monument to Wilhelm Kress, a pioneer of aircraft technology who crashed his seaplane here in 1901.
