An ideal stopover on the ascent to the Hochkönig. Fantastic panorama, also a beautiful final destination on a hike. Walking time from Werfen is approximately 3 hours.

An easy snow hike from the Arthurhaus (300m). If you stop at the Arthurhaus, you don't have to pay for the parking space.

Hut currently (24/25) not managed! - Tenant recently threw in the towel

Hut newly renovated in 2023 with a very friendly, courteous team, a smart hut landlady and very clean rooms!!! I can only recommend a visit or overnight stay!!!

Not a nice bike path, but great location of the fortress.

Fantastic ski tour with a view of the Mandlwände (Hochkönig massif). The tour is hardly at risk of avalanches. Can be started from Bischofshofen or from the Arthurhaus near Mühlbach.
