A great place with a great view and also accessible by train. The run from Garmisch to Kreuzeck has it all!

And be sure to try the cheese fondue in winter. So delicious that we got the recipe. (The secret are the 3 different types of cheese)

Already stayed there in 2017. Very friendly staff and delicious food

The hut is conveniently located if you don't want to go up to the summit of the Zugspitze in one day.

The absolute highlight for me was the view from the Hupfleitenjoch down to the Höllentalangerhütte and up to the Zugspitz glacier.
