Great view over the plain to the Rax. And to the many peaks in the opposite direction.

Simple hut, which is run on a voluntary basis by members of the St. Pölten Mountain Association. Open from early May to early November on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. When the hut is not open, there is a freely accessible winter room with two beds available. We were given a very friendly welcome. The hut is right next to the summit of the Türnitzer Höger.

Was there today too and pushed my e-bike a kilometer to the hut with lots of swear words :-). When I got to the top I saw that there is now also a gravel road up :-) So if you want to go to the hut by bike, then definitely take the road!

There are several ways to get to the Gemeindealpe. Two modern chairlifts take you quickly and comfortably to the summit at 1,626 meters above sea level - but it's also worth going up on foot
