However, I was disappointed at the Bayreuther Hut. I had booked a 4-bed room back in January, so I was in plenty of time. When we arrived here in the late afternoon, we were sent to a 6-bed room. Very cozy hut on the eastern edge of the Karwendel mountains. Significantly less frequented than the Erfurter Hütte, which can be reached by mountain railway. Excellent beer from Bayreuth and a small but fine menu complete the experience. Several peaks can be reached in 1-2 hours. I would choose this hut again at any time.
