Through one of the curved alleys you reach the large town square, which already had these dimensions when the town was founded. On the lower town square there are still a considerable number of Gothic houses, with their narrow fronts, high pointed gables and rear buildings that cannot be seen from the square. Since these houses have only been changed a little, we can still find the narrow, often quite winding staircases inside. With a few exceptions, the middle town square was largely destroyed in the great town fire in 1874. On the east side in particular, the high gable walls had to be torn down and the roofs turned 90 degrees. On the upper town square we find the houses of the once wealthy cloth makers and linen weavers. The houses have wide fronts, the windows are framed by delicate window frames and the interior of these houses has wide staircases and corridors, as well as rooms with some very beautiful stucco ceilings. The medieval castle complex in the middle of the Innauen is a special excursion destination. The Chancellor's Room, the exhibition and the vaulted cellar bring the history of Frauenstein to life. Events also take place here. Mostly open until the end of September. In October usually only on weekends.

Unfortunately, the organic bakery is only open Fri-Sat-Sun. The cake is available in the café in the Bauerngasse

The location of the power plant is also known for the nearby Frauenstein Castle, which offers a wonderful rest for the many cyclists along the Inn Cycle Path. There are not only sporting achievements to be seen here, the power of the Inn is also impressive: since 1943, the Ering-Frauenstein run-of-river power plant has been generating electricity from 100% hydropower and supplies around 97,000 households with green electricity. In the next few years, the power plant will undergo extensive modernization. Ecological measures, such as the construction of a fish pass, have already been implemented.
