The summit cross collapsed in January 2014 due to heavy snow and ice loads. The new Lavant Bridge at Drauspitz was recently fitted with lighting. The official Drau cycle path R1 runs over the bridge and is also an important pedestrian connection for the population to and from the centre of Lavamünd.
