The cycle route along the Liesingbach is always a highlight.

The Mödling castle ruins are picturesquely located in the Föhrenberge Nature Park and are one of the most impressive historical sites in the region. Originally built in the 12th century, it once served as an important fortress before falling into disrepair in the 16th century. Today, the well-preserved remains offer a fascinating insight into medieval history and are a popular destination for hikers. From the ruins you can also enjoy a breathtaking view of Mödling and the surrounding area.

The Black Tower is a ruin that was deliberately built as such. From here you have a wonderful view of the city of Mödling

!!! Always worth a stop!!!

This section of the route is often used on my big Liesing tour, it's quite nice, partly sandy and usually very busy on the Liesing Bach promenade. But you'll also find several cozy places to stop for a bite to eat, a playground and lots of benches, but the highlight is cooling off in the Liesing. And during strawberry season there's a stall in Kledering.

Flat as a pan and beautiful scenery. I highly recommend Thermenradweg for people looking for an easy ride south of Vienna. While you are at it, visit Baden.
