A beautiful paved cycle path runs along the Steinach river. Suitable for virtually all types of cycling. Caution is advised only when work is being done in the fields.

The tea house at the moated castle will unfortunately be permanently closed from 2026. In the future, the café in the Old House in Neundorf will only be open every Sunday.

Offers a beautiful view from the bridge. Closed!

Narrow point of the Steinach river. The current is slowed here by large stones. This was necessary due to the straightening of the river at this location.

This cycle path runs parallel to the main road on the former railway line from Sonneberg to Stockheim.

Both the main road and the cycle path along the old railway line offer beautiful views of the castle and church. Road cyclists usually use the road when traffic is light and the traffic lights are off, as it's faster and shorter. The railway cycle path is a bit longer and more winding, but more interesting, safer, and offers better views. If traffic is heavy, choose the latter. The cycle path is also paved throughout.
