A trip around Lake Ossiach is almost a must for cycling tourists and locals. The official cycle path leads around the lake and offers many refreshment stops and drinking water filling stations. A little off the cycle path you can cycle through villages and at the eastern outflow through a true nature reserve (former moor) on "white roads" (Strade Bianchi).

The Slow Trail Bleistätter Moor leads through the species-rich nature, landscape and European conservation area of the Tiebel estuary and offers insights into the habitat of around 100 different species of birds, butterflies, bats and beavers. This easy circular tour (also suitable for Nordic walking and running) is very flat along the eastern shore of Lake Ossiach and leads through the Bleistätter Moor, which has been flooded since 2017; after around 7 kilometers (max. 2 hours walking time) you return to the starting point.
