In the southwest of Carinthia, families love to cycle along the Gailtal cycle path "R3". This approximately 90 km long cycle tour runs parallel to the Italian border and is clearly marked with green signs and white ground markings. Children and parents cycle along the Gail, cycling through small villages and past old farms. The wild and romantic Gailtal cycle path is also impressive due to the surrounding mountains of the Carnic and Gailtal Alps.
