https://www.schifferlfahren.at/ Once you have arrived at the city limits of Wiener Neustadt, a visit to this enjoyable place is a treat for the tired cyclist. The staff are immediately on hand to take requests. If you still have enough energy, a short boat trip on the CANAL is also possible 😀

The original lookout tower was built in 1903, later unfortunately destroyed and rebuilt in 2007. The 28 meter high wooden and steel construction, which winds around a 100 year old tree, has 133 steps to climb. The ascent is always worthwhile, because the view extends over the Rosaliengebirge to Lake Neusiedl and even to Sopron and Bratislava.

01/01/2023 - The Wiener Neustädter Canal may be navigated with Canadians (canoes) on a length of 4.2 km between the signs "Bootsfahrende". From the jetty to the Schafflerbrücke (boat trip end) it takes about 1 hour. ATTENTION: on the return trip, a travel time of at least 1 hour 20 minutes must be taken into account with the countercurrent! Source: www.schifferlfahren.at

A lookout tower from another building councilor, I would say. And of course the view from above is worth climbing the stairs. I also liked the serpentine path next to it.
