10월 21, 2025, Schillerkopf Gipfel
The T4 trail to Schillerkopf, coming from the Tschengla parking lot P3, is relatively easy to manage. There are only a few places where you need to use your hands, the trail is always clearly visible, and only a few sections are exposed.

Most visited ski touring summit in the Damüls area, well worth it. Various descent options with different levels of difficulty and exposure. Long powder fun on the north side.

The most beautiful summit cross I have ever seen. At the top there is a book with a pen to write your name

In my opinion the most beautiful summit cross in Vorarlberg. Mega all-round view and a mountain tour that has its appeal at any time of the day

Impressive views, beautiful trip allround. Sturdy shoes needed. If you have a fear of hights, make sure you go up the smooth and easy way through the middle of the mountain. The path through the one side is very steep and could pose a challenge. Also, be aware that the peak is the highlight of the area and it is very crowded. Enjoy your walk and stay safe!

The name Schillerkopf is associated with the shape of the mountain profile. Seen from the north-east, the rocky massif resembles a face profile. Due to the large nose, which is said to resemble that of Friedrich Schiller, the mountain was renamed from Kessikopf to Schillerkopf. The "nose tip" is also the highest point, this is where the summit cross is located. The Schillerkopf has Vorarlberg's largest sinkhole - the "Kessiloch" has a diameter of about 300 meters and a depth of 100 meters. Source: https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schillerkopf

The Tälispitz is a summit along the Welsh ridge that is highly recommended as a tour. Assuming sure-footedness and a head for heights, it goes through beautiful mountain regions, a variety of flowers, views...everything that makes the hiker's heart beat faster.

5월 21, 2022, Hoher Freschen Summit Cross
The summit of the Hoher Freschen forms the highest elevation of the so-called Freschenstock, a series of several mountain peaks hanging together. The four municipal areas of Dornbirn, Laterns, Zwischenwasser and Viktorsberg meet at the top of the Hoher Freschen. The summit belongs to the Freschen group named after him, a mountain range in the Bregenzerwald mountains. The Dornbirner Ach, a river about 30 kilometers long that flows into Lake Constance, has its source on the north-west flank of the mountain. The most famous refuge, the Freschenhaus, is located just south of the summit at 1840 m above sea level. A Source: Wikipedia

11월 7, 2021, Portlahorn (2.010 m)
Position The Portlahorn is part of the Damülser Berge group and is a striking, distinct, powerful peak with three ridges. The very lush vegetation is striking with dense shrubs of blueberries, alpine roses, juniper, etc., many flowers and green alders, especially on the avalanche slopes. neighboring peaks In the south, about 1000 m away as the crow flies, the Portlakopf (1905), in the north, about 1300 m away, the Sünserkopf (2032), in the north-west, about 1700 m away, the Sünser Spitze (2062) and in the north-east about 1600 m as the crow flies the Ragaz Blanken (2051). Hike The nearest hiking base is the Portlaalpe (1710 m above sea level, only open in summer) and the Freschenhaus (1846 m above sea level). Other surrounding Alps (e.g. Sünser Alpe) are only managed in summer. The ascent to the Portlahorn is possible from several starting points, e.g. B. from Damüls, Oberdamüls or the Portlaalpe. The shortest route leads from the Portlalpe via the Portlafürkle in the direction of the Sünser Joch. The mountain can be climbed from the south via the Portlakopf or from the north via the Sünser Joch. Summer The route over the Portlaalpe (near Furkajoch) to the mountain summit can be completed in about an hour (300 meters in altitude). Coming from Damüls over the Sieben Hügel, the Sünserjoch on the Portlahorn, you can choose to return via the Alpe Oberdamüls (1667 m). This circular hike takes about five to six hours in total (about 600 meters in altitude). winter In winter, snowshoe tours and ski tours on the Portlahorn are popular (sometimes also at night). In January 2015, an avalanche on the north slope claimed two lives.[2] Source: Wikipedia

The ascent to the Schillerkopf is worthwhile. The view is gigantic. Very steep descent, really kneels. Bring enough to drink.
