Both houses have a rich stucco facade (see picture) from the 17th century. The facades of the house and the house itself date from the 13th century. The moat roof, a special feature of Graz, can also be found on the roof of the Luegg House.

The two Luegg houses with the house numbers 11 and 12 are located on the eastern edge of the trapezoidal main square in Graz, which was built between 1156 and 1164, right on the corner of Sporgasse. The houses are decorated with beautiful baroque stucco, which differs in both style and color, which is why it is not visually apparent that these two houses belong together. Another special feature of the two houses is that they are the only ones on the main square whose late Gothic arcades have been preserved to this day, and this is the case along almost the entire length of their facade.
