Mont Atilakoutse is recognized as the highest point in Togo at 991 metres. It is quite an easy walk to the top, though it is on indistinct footpaths through rough farmland. The top is boulder strewn and does not have a distinct summit point.

At 658 metres high, Mont Sokbaro was the highest point in Benin until January 2026. The new high point for Benin is now Kotopounga near Natitingou in the north at 669 metres high. The summit of Mont Sakharov has a concrete structure and some boulders nearby, the latter is actually the high point.

Wlif Waterfalls is the highest waterfall in West Africa, with a height of about eighty metres. It also has a double drop, the top one being out of sight; this too is just as dramatic and is a two-hour hike from the start point. The walk in to the lower fall is just short of three kilometres, and it is a hot forty-five-minute one over nine bridges from the tourist centre. It is a popular swimming and picnic spot, and the hiking trail through the Agumatsa Wildlife Sanctuary offers great views, and at the falls you get to see large fruit bat colonies nesting on the cliffs.

Kpogan's main street has developed along the old railway line. The tracks sometimes run right through the houses.

Three streets are now up to 50 m out into the sea - climate change is hitting hard and there is no end in sight.

Tuesdays and Thursdays are the busiest market days. The other days are more relaxed.

Colorful traditional fishing boats are moored here. You should be able to deal with the children begging on the fishing boats.
