What is the significance of the Liars' Bridge? ❓ Built in 1859, it is the first cast-iron bridge in Southeastern Europe and is very popular in Romania. It is popularly known as the "Liars' Bridge" because it is said to collapse as soon as a liar steps on it. The structure, located in the center of the medieval city, has a span of 10.5 meters.

There is a barrier-free fishing spot for wheelchair users

A carpentry company from Essen was awarded the contract for the work on the outer skin. First, the old outer skin was removed piece by piece and replaced with new spruce boards, onto which the 12,500 oak shingles were then nailed. A carpentry shop from Essen-Addrup made the new windows and reinstalled them exactly where the old windows had been 100 years ago. The new cap was delivered just in time for the topping-out ceremony on October 15, 2021, the individual components were assembled on site and the large pinion wheel was installed. In December 2021, the 12-ton cap was placed on the octagon. In spring 2022, the new wooden wings were attached to the mill and numerous visitors to the mill festival on Whit Monday were able to view the old, new mill.
