This route is much nicer than the most commonly recommended one along the main road. Especially in summer, as it's pleasantly cool cycling through the light forest.

beautiful path along the Luther

Perfect path, beautiful area, good for driving

Nice trail if it weren't for those passages blocked by wooden gates. You can only pass them by lifting your bike and swearing several times. Isn't it time the local farmers installed more modern passages?? The trail had thick vegetation in some places ☹️

Please note! The chic château can only be visited by appointment. Events, catering, and festivals are also held here. Every year, a charming medieval market takes place at Wyher Castle. There is a large free parking lot behind the castle.

Willisau is a charming little town with a historic flair and always worth a visit. A stop at the Amrein Café is worthwhile, as this is where the famous Willisauer Ringli was originally made - a sweet cult pastry with a long tradition.

A nice place - with a drinking fountain - to rest.
