The weir upstream is being redesigned, and there will be quiet riverside areas with swimming spots. This could be completed by 2025. There is still a bicycle diversion sign in the direction of Heimertingen.

The idyllically located Way of the Cross, at the foot of the village of Mettenberg, is part of a complex called "Kreuzberg". This is also indicated in Mettenberg Unterdorf and on the road from Zell to Mettenberg Oberdorf. In addition to the very beautifully maintained Way of the Cross, laid out in serpentines on the mountain (at first glance, only one hand is broken off in the Way of the Cross picture of station 2, Jesus takes the heavy cross; perhaps even by a branch that has broken off a tree), at the beginning you can find the Way of the Cross Chapel, built in 1902 in place of a Maria Hilf shrine, and a Mount of Olives.
