The climbing passages are manageable. Nevertheless, take your via ferrata set with you! The descent over the Eiger's western flank is secured with rope aids, as higher rock steps have to be overcome. Great views!

A hike around the donkey is recommended, but very time-consuming. Plan enough breaks. There are free-roaming cows on the mountain slopes that like to block the way. Cow dunk is a way of decorating here and there!
