A visit to Arosa is worthwhile at any time of year; in summer the lake is very beautiful to look at, but in winter it is frozen over.

Along the Schwellisee the S1 trail is mostly easy to ride. A few short sections where you have to push. We can't say anything about the southern extension, it's certainly more difficult.

Preda station is located on the Albula railway at 1789 m above sea level at the northern end of the Albula tunnel and offers direct journeys towards Filisur - Chur or Samedan - St. Moritz. The IR trains cross there, which creates interesting photo opportunities.
