It is forbidden to drive up to this point "Cliffwalk am First". The only ways to get there from Grindelwald are: - Climb of almost 2 hours on foot; - By cable car (25 min). This costs 68 francs to go and return. Also the last ride down is at 17:30.

Awesome view, especially the turquoise-blue Lake Brienz is worth the tour!

Stunning views of the Brienzersee and the Jungfrau Region’s highest peaks; the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau, Schreckhorn and Finsteraarhorn. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking no matter the direction you look in.

The gondola ride here is an experience in itself, and the cliff walk even more so. We were able to enjoy the view.

Wonderful view across the snowy mountain peaks among which the famous Jungfrau, the Schreckhorn, the Eiger, etc.

In fact, the Aare Gorge offers a large number of fantastic views and insights. A very impressive experience, best enjoyed outside of the holiday season and/or during the week.

Particularly nice in winter - take a sledge with you, take the train up to First, then hike a bit strenuous but mostly on gurten paths to the Faulhorn and the 1000 m down to Grindelwald by sledge.
