Quaint little hut that is laboriously supplied by minibus through the Wimbach scree

If you are out here with snowshoes, you can take a little rest on one of the numerous benches.

The Königsbachalm - the home of the marmots Keep an eye out for all the marmots who live here on your hiking trip or from the Jennerbahn, whose caves are surprisingly close to the hiking trails. Don't forget your camera, because you will find more than enough photo opportunities here. So you take a little piece of Bavaria home with you from the tours. The cute little animals are eye-catchers at the Königsbachalm, so that guided marmot hikes are organized regularly. Are you drawn deeper into the beautiful mountain world? Then choose the Königsbachalm as an intermediate destination before you set off on the way to the Gotzenalm, the Priesbergalm and Büchsenalm or to the Schneibsteinhaus. The tour to the Gotzenalm in particular is a highlight for hikers who are fit. To do this, turn off at the right-hand side of the Königsbachalm and come to the Gotzentalalm or Gotzenalm.

The hosted Wimbachgrieshütte is located in impressive surroundings in the rear Wimbachtal. The small hut is open from mid-May to early October and serves as a base for various hikes. The promising Watzmannhaus serves as a base for climbing the Watzmann. The hut is open from May to October. There are 200 beds in the dormitory and shared rooms.
