The Sillianer Hütte marks both the start and end point of the Carnic High Route 403, also known as the Peace Trail or Via della Pace. It also serves as an important base for several long-distance hiking trails, including the Austrian Southern Alpine Long-Distance Trail No. 03 (Sillian–Karawanken–Radkersburg), the European Long-Distance Trail E10, and the Via Alpina. The offer is typically regional with very tasty Kaiserschmarrn at fair prices. Wonderful and modern hut at the foot of the Großglockner. Starting point for the normal route to the roof of Austria. The food is excellent and the hut staff are very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is unique, as there are a lot of mountain guides hanging around here, who spread great dynamics and a good atmosphere. It is best to reserve well in advance, the hut is almost always fully booked.
