The Rifugio Passo di Vizze is located at 2,276 meters above sea level on the Italian-Austrian border, in the Ötztal Alps. The Olpererhütte at 2389 meters offers an excellent overnight accommodation for climbing higher peaks. There are sleeping spaces for 5 people each and you need to bring sleeping bags. The hut also offers beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and the reservoir, making it an ideal starting point for hikes and mountain tours. The restaurant is also recommended and offers a diverse selection at reasonable prices. After a strenuous day in the mountains, you can enjoy delicious meals here and experience the cosiness of the hut.

We were four adults and four children ages 5-7 at the Friesenberghaus in June 2022. We could not be happier with our stay! The food was wonderful, the service was super friendly, and the lodging was just what we needed. :)

Very nice alpine hut with different approaches, which is operated by a young team. Child friendly. We met 2 families who walked the Schlegeis Speicher - Friesenbergalm and the hut of the same name on to the suspension bridge and the Olperer hut and descended from there.
