Bad Gastein is actually a bit out of date and some of the buildings are empty. Big old hotels in an alpine area and yet somehow fascinating.

A breathtaking waterfall in the middle of Bad Gastein. When the temperatures are hot, there is a pleasant mist of water in the air. Also great for a little photo stop.

Kreealm-Kreehütte at 1,483 m. The Kreealm area at the entrance to the Hohe Tauern National Park is one of the areas in the Grossarltal with the most wildlife and plant life. Once at the top, hikers are treated to a snack with home-made products.
