Dachstein coming from the south is quite a challenge. At least 800 meters of often vertical rock face are very impressive. The shoulder climb is underestimated by many tourists. So for this variant, crampons, a partner and a short rope are advantageous. It took me a total of 4 hours and I didn't think I was slow.
