Update September 2024: Due to numerous Murren (approx. 10), there are unfortunately many carrying passages that seem to be high alpine. Otherwise, this is a really nice root trail that will also delight experienced gravel bikers 🤩

The cabin is locked up but there's a tap set up nearby that feeds from a mountain spring. The water was great. Very useful if you're making a round trip around the lake, as the nearest spots to get fresh water are either the Forelle, or Heiterwang in the other direction.

Very nice route, mostly through the forest and with great mountain views. Unfortunately, there are often many motorcyclists on the road at the weekend.

The Plansee is beautiful. Unfortunately, the southern shore is closed to mountain bikers.

Beautiful mountain lake with deep blue water in the middle of the mountains. Those who like it quiet will find an undisturbed spot here. Highly recommended.
