The Spatschlucht was formed around 1800, when the above-ground mining of heavy spar, also known as barite, began. The white spar powder was used as an additive in the manufacture of paint and paper. All in all, barite was successfully mined in the area for almost 140 years until 1939.

Not far from the road is this small gorge, which is definitely worth a visit. The two entrances are a bit impassable. Still a nice highlight and a great photo spot.

There is a strange, calm atmosphere in this place. You can meet hikers and cyclists here who linger for a while to take in the peace and quiet.

This place of worship was built during the plague around 1350 (not pagan, built by monks). There is a detailed explanation board along the way. A beautiful place in the middle of the forest. Take a break, meditate, pray, enjoy the forest...
