5/26/24: Unfortunately the spring is closed; the tap has been removed. The same goes for the Johannisquelle nearby. Tip: Sauerbrunnen in nearby Rückershausen. Tastes delicious!

Here the Aar cycle path has a good surface suitable for road bikes and no traffic. Day trippers can be expected at the usual times. In return, there is a view of the lime works and the Roman springs, which you can pass by (and stop at if you like).

Asphalted cycle and farm track through the green. Much more relaxing and nicer on a road bike than a main road!

The lime works are an eye-catcher from the cycle path between Hahnstätten and Obermeisen. The cycle path is easy to ride on a road bike. Plan for tourist and excursion groups as obstacles! 😜

Great route and the castle ruins are an eye-catcher. But as Siggi already wrote: as soon as the castle is visible, take the photo immediately - after that the view is blocked. 🙈

From the bike path, you have a great view of the castle. The information board provides a wealth of information about the castle.

Fresh, cool drinking water. At 30 degrees in the shade (and there's not much of that in the Aartal) it's an absolute highlight for me.
