The Weinbiet Tower is a historic landmark located at the top of the Weinbiet mountain range. Built from red sandstone between 1870 and 1874, the tower offers fantastic views over the Rhine plain and the Palatinate Forest.

The Naturfreundehaus is a great place to stop off on your hikes in the Palatinate Forest. It is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you want to stay longer, you can also stay overnight here. You can find more information at https://www.naturfreundehaus-neustadt.de/.

The Naturfreundehaus is located in the Heidenbrunnental, with numerous springs and a stream. Its quiet forest location offers attractive hiking opportunities on well-marked hiking trails, suitable for all ages.

A somewhat inconspicuous peak or small mountain ridge. There is a stone here with the inscription “E. Scherr / 1942 [?] / P. W. D.” (of the Palatinate Forest Association Diedesfeld?). Below this summit there is a rest bench with a view of the Rhine plain on one side and the PWV hut on the other side.

We were received very, very friendly and although it was very full, we were still able to find a seat. Delicious food, some vegetarian options and very helpful staff - whether with questions about the menu or where the great liquor comes from - everything was patiently answered.

The entrance to the Looganlage hunting lodge used to be here. An old archway made of stone over the Mußbach is still preserved.

New tenant, the quality of the food hasn't suffered, I like being there. Large outdoor area, large indoor area, well-organized team. Reachable by car from Gimmeldingen and Lambrecht/Wachenheim (the latter road is currently closed) Here you can either cruise through the Benjental or roughly rock from the Stabenberg or from the direction of Weinbiethaus.

One of the many spots that you can visit as a stage or as a destination in the beautiful Palatinate Forest.
