Yes, the beautiful route certainly challenges you...but where the climbs slowly go up, the descents are all the faster, and all the effort is quickly forgotten.

The square is called "Schöne Aussicht" and lives up to its name, because from here you really do have the very best views across the Domsee to the Ratzeburg Cathedral and the district museum and the Paul Weber Museum are also clearly visible from here. From the Domsee it is a steep climb up to here, but it is worth it and then it goes downhill again. 😉

The circular tour around the "Ratzeburger See" is more demanding than I expected.

The worst slope on this tour if you're doing organic. But it's doable if you clench your buttocks and have some inner motivation. The bench at the top is just what you need; you can take a quick break, have a drink and then carry on.
