The Kreuzschober seems to be a popular destination for tourers. Since I can't ski, I went up there with snowshoes - that's fine too :) Also very easily accessible to the public from Mürzzuschlag.

We were here in winter, with a bit of snow. The large pane is certainly very beautiful at other times of the year too. At the top you have a great view of the Rax.

Very well-kept hut with good food and nice service. Beautiful view of Veitsch and Hochschwab.
