At the end of the moorland path, well-maintained hiking trails lead through the adjacent forest.

A wonderful resting place at the old stone bridge

A beautiful little moorland path, from which various circular trails begin. There is a parking lot right next to the moorland path.

The highlight of this forest and meadow circular hike was the beautifully landscaped moorland path. The "Wasserdell" nature reserve near Dahlem consists of a biotope complex with well-developed heather moorland, peat moss stands, and alder buckthorn bushes, as well as the nutrient-poor moor stream with a small erkenbuch forest. The moorland path's accessible wooden boardwalk also offers picnic areas and benches for a relaxing break; a parking lot is nearby. Unfortunately, several paths were gravel or paved; however, there were also some very beautiful sections (besides the moorland path), such as the Mill Path in the Glaadtbach Valley. So, hiking enthusiasts, put on your hiking boots, pack a picnic, and head out into nature in the High Fens-Eifel National Park.
