The main purpose of the landscape conservation area is to preserve the grassland and forest belt that is naturally connected to the nature reserve as a buffer zone to avoid adverse effects on the nature reserve through disruptive changes to the environment that impair the natural balance or the landscape of the Isny Basin. It is a landscape of particular beauty and character, characterized by the alternation of large open grassland areas with forest and wooded streams, to safeguard the landscape and the recreational function. The Taufachmoos and Fetzachmoos area with Urseen is a nature reserve in the towns of Leutkirch im Allgäu and Isny im Allgäu in the district of Ravensburg, which was designated by the Tübingen regional council on June 23, 1982.
