The so-called Bear Ponds are fish ponds managed by the Ottersheim Angling Club. They are located in a nature reserve. At the southeastern corner of the lower pond, there is a fish sculpture commemorating Jean Benz, a prominent figure in the angling community. A beautiful covered rest area, the "Jean Benz Park," with two benches and a table, has recently been created at the northeastern corner of the lake, along the Queich Valley Cycle Path. It's a wonderful place to unwind... especially on mild evenings when the sun sets in the west and you can gaze out over the ponds.

At the Spitaläcker lies the Bärensee with benches around the lake.

Here lies the "Lusoria Rhenana," a faithful replica of a Roman river warship, which was also used on the Rhine to defend against the Germanic tribes. Can be rented for tours; details can be found on the website of the operating association: https://lusoriarhenana.de

Beautifully located right on the lake with a terrace on the lakeshore. We only had coffee, but we'll be back for dinner. The menu looked tempting.

European Cultural Park Schwanenweiher Let your soul unwind on a tour around the Schwanenweiher. Numerous sculptures line the path - they were created at a sculpture symposium in 1993 and a wood symposium in 2009. A large, natural playground makes children's hearts beat faster and a small kiosk provides refreshments. A boules court invites you to play together. The peace of the forest, the birds and the insects, the reflections of the trees in the water look like living watercolors. Stopping and enjoying is a must for lovers of nature. You have to enjoy a gift like this, it has a lasting effect. I call it FOREST BATHING. Anyone who has the patience to watch a dancing dragonfly has won.
