A wonderful exhibition of ores and rocks. The special exhibitions are always worth seeing.

Terra mineralia is the mineral exhibition of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg. It can be found in Freudenstein Castle. The exhibition extends over five floors and shows mineral finds from all over the world. Definitely worth seeing!

Very nice castle. Located since Privately owned in 2021 and currently undergoing renovation/restoration inside and out. Unfortunately it can only be viewed from the outside

Unfortunately, the castle is privately owned, so access is not possible. The gate was open, but a lock screen alerted me to private property. The site is also so well managed that a lot of greenery does not allow a view of the house, and not much can be seen from the pond below either.

Already in 1197 the seat of a knightly family was located here. The castles in Reinsberg and Bieberstein still bear witness to this today. When Reinsberg Castle was built and who founded it has not been proven with certainty to this day. However, it is considered very probable that the origin of the place and the castle is due to a German nobleman named Reinhardt, who built a castle at this place, under whose protection farmers gradually settled.

Weißenborn Castle of the Weißenborn Manor; Frauensteiner Strasse 8; 16th/17th Century, essentially older; oval, closed, castle-like palace complex with a small inner courtyard, of regional and local historical importance. Plastered three-storey quarry stone building, erected as a small oval complex around the courtyard, in the courtyard stair tower and arcade
